Section 2: Theory, Practice and Mind Mapping

  1. Introduction: What is Photoshop, Opening new files and existing files, menus and panels, navigating Photoshop.
  2. Started With Photoshop: Exploring the toolbox, The new CS4 Applications bar and the options bar, Creating and viewing new document, Exploring panels and menus, customizing the interface.
  3. Images: Panning and zooming an image, Working with multiple images, rulers, guides and grids, adjusting color with the new adjustments panel, the new masks panel and vibrance color correction command, the new note tool and the save for web and devices interface, the new auto blend, auto align layers command,  the new 3D commands.
  4. Cropping and Resizing Images: Understanding pixels and resolution, Interpolation Options, the image size command, Resizing for web and print, straightening an image, cropping an image, Adjusting Canvas size and rotation.
